13+ weeks (potential for extension or permanent hire)
Primary Focus: This pharmacy specializes in
acute infusion therapies , preparing sterile compounds for: IVs / Hydration
Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
Antibiotics
Experience Required: Minimum
12 years of infusion pharmacy experience
Strong
clinical assessment and communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with patients and providers
Summary
The
Infusion Pharmacist
provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care by dispensing medications, monitoring patient therapies, and consulting with medical and nursing staff. The pharmacist ensures daily operations run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, compliance, and quality care. Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise sound clinical judgment throughout the
medication use process
and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Oversee
dispensing, processing, and recording
of prescriptions from authorized providers.
Communicate effectively with physicians and nurses to
optimize drug therapy
in line with clinical protocols.
Monitor and adjust patients drug regimens, providing evidence-based recommendations.
Supervise pharmacy technicians , ensuring compliance and accuracy in all technical functions.
Evaluate medication orders for
compatibility, contraindications, and correctness ; resolve issues with prescribers or nursing staff.
Stay current on
new medications, clinical guidelines, and regulatory updates .
Provide
pharmacokinetic dosing and medication information
to healthcare teams.
Ensure cost-effective, compliant, and clinically sound medication therapy.
Maintain compliance with
HIPAA, JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulations .
Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills in all interactions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management. xsgimln
Licensure: Active Arizona Pharmacist License (in good standing)
