A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support K-12 students with multiple needs in Juneau, Alaska. This contract role extends through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing until May 21, 2026. The position requires an onsite presence to effectively engage with students in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with diverse special education needs across grades K-12. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches to meet educational goals. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment adhering to district policies. Qualifications: Current Alaska teaching license with Type C certification specific to special education. Documentation confirming licensure and certification must be provided. Experience working with a range of special education needs in a K-12 setting. Ability to travel onsite as needed, with reimbursement available. Schedule and Setting: Full-time role averaging 37.5 hours per week. Work is conducted onsite; no virtual or telecommuting options are available.
