The role requires a current Louisiana DOE teaching certificate and a commitment to delivering high-quality education to students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to K-12 students with special education needs Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and families Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive classroom environments and support services Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations Qualifications: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in Special Education Experience working in a K-12 educational environment preferred Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Ability to manage a caseload and adapt to varying student needs and school assignments Excellent communication and organizational skills Location and Schedule: Position is based in New Orleans, Louisiana Full-time role with a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday Daily schedule includes 7 hours of work plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic and social outcomes while working within a supportive educational setting.
