Qualifications: Appropriate Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology Current AK SLPA license

Role Overview:

As an SLPA, you will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting. You will also implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists for students. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details: The caseload consists of schools in and around Anchorage with a variety of diagnoses Therapist will be working in a few schools within a short drive time radius The therapist will work 5 days a week 7.5 hours per day and enjoy the benefits of working a school calendar year We will help you relocate to the area! We also have contractors on assignment there who will be happy to talk with you about their experience

Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist. Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist. Work with classroom teachers to implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for maturity level and interests of students.
