A full-time General Education Math teaching opportunity is available for a high school setting in Kenner, LA. This contract position runs through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of May 22, 2026. The role is based on a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar. Daily hours include 7 hours of classroom instruction plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction aligned with state standards to high school students in general education math. Develop lesson plans, assessments, and materials that meet diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Create a positive and engaging classroom environment to foster academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives and student success. Qualifications: Active valid Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate in General Education Math; candidates currently in Teacher Academy of Louisiana (TAL) programs will not be considered. Proven experience teaching high school math in a general education setting preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills.
