A full-time Occupational Therapist is sought for a contract position within a K-12 school setting in Elk Grove, CA, serving PreK through 12th-grade students. This opportunity focuses on delivering occupational therapy services that support student development and educational success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to students educational needs. Collaborate closely with educators, COTA/facilitator support staff under supervision, and other school-based professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to special education and therapy services. Track and document student progress effectively using relevant tools and data management systems. Participate in team meetings and provide consultative support to staff, students, and families. Manage work hours to meet a 37.5-hour schedule, including required compensatory time. Qualifications: Current and valid California Occupational Therapy license is mandatory. Experience working in school environments, specifically with PreK-12 populations. Knowledge of educational strategies and frameworks relevant to occupational therapy practice. Ability to supervise and collaborate with COTA/facilitator staff. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Location: Elk Grove, California Duration: Contract for the current school year Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with compensatory time required Restrictions: This position does not include Vocational Rehabilitation (VOCO) services.
