Job Description Job Description Personalized Nursing LIGHT House (PNLH), a leading behavioral health provider with over 35 years of experience, is seeking a qualified and compassionate Primary Therapist to join our team at our Madison Heights Residential Facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bachelor's or Master’s level clinician to provide trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care in a structured residential setting, with the support of a multidisciplinary team and an integrated treatment model. Position Summary As a Primary Therapist, you will deliver individual and group therapy to adult clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will use the LIGHT model to guide clinical decision-making and support clients in achieving sustainable recovery. Key Responsibilities Provide weekly individual therapy for assigned clients Facilitate 2–3 therapeutic groups per week on PNLH-selected topics Use the LIGHT model in assessment, education, and counseling Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to client needs Monitor service utilization and coordinate care with internal and external providers Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation Ensure compliance with authorization and billing requirements Maintain client confidentiality and participate in case conferences Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Services field CADC, CAADC, or MCBAP Development Plan (support provided to obtain plan if not currently held) Preferred Master’s degree and licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, etc.) Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling Training in trauma-informed care Experience treating co-occurring mental health disorders Familiarity with authorization processes for Michigan’s PIHP system Compensation Competitive hourly rate up to $30.00, commensurate with education and experience6b250ea6-cee3-481d-915c-f7283f1b2f1b
