The Company is seeking a VP of Clinical Development in Ophthalmology to lead the global development of ophthalmic genetic medicines. The successful candidate will be a key figure in the introduction of the first intravitreally delivered genetic medicines for the treatment of irreversible blindness. Applicants must have an M.D. degree, clinical training in ophthalmology, and a minimum of 10 years of biopharma industry experience in drug development, with a strong preference for those with Phase 3 experience in retinal diseases. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading and executing clinical trials, experience in global regulatory interactions, and a deep understanding of the ophthalmic competitive landscape, particularly in the retina. The ideal candidate will have a background in gene therapy, experience with NDA, BLA, or MAA submissions, and a history of successful interactions with regulatory authorities. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
