Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Premium Night Shift Sign On Bonus: Graduate Nurse $10,000 Experienced Nurse $13,000 TCU RN 36 hours per week, Nights Mercy Hospital Jefferson Festus, MO 63028 We are a fast-paced, high-energy 20 bed floor comprised of a 12 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 8 bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU). We function as one team with amazing teamwork to provided top quality care to our patients. We are a team of dedicated co-workers that work together to ensure patients receive the lifesaving care they need. We are a medical surgical ICU that sees a wide variety of patients and diagnosis. The TCU provides care to acutely ill patients that are not quite to the point of needing ICU or just removed from ICU status. The TCU is very fast paced and requires good critical thinking skills, which allows for a great learning environment for new nurses to our team. Qualifications: Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
