Weekend Days Overview: Sentara is currently hiring a Registered Nurse to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk on our Medical Procedures Unit. This unit will have a mixture of medical, surgical and intermediate care patients. Preferred candidates will have IMCU experience or at least two years acute med/surg RN experience. Generous Sign On Bonus of up to 15K and Moving Allowance for Qualified Candidates! Hours/Shift: Full-time, weekend dayshift (Every Friday, Sat and Sun) Approximately 7am to 7pm Department/Position Overview: This 8-bed unit will have a mixture of medical, surgical and intermediate care patients. The RN to patient ratio is 4 to 1 with a Patient Care Technician. We are looking for nurses with IMCU experience or at least two years of recent RN Medical Surgical acute care nursing experience. The IMCU patients will not include those with Bipap, Epidural catheters, Dofetilide and Sotalol Initiation, ventilators, thoracic patients (chest tubes) and post cardiac cath patients. Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
