Job Title: Golf Shop Attendant
Reports To: Head Golf Professional
Position Summary: The Golf Shop Attendant provides exceptional customer service to residents and guests while assisting with the daily operations of the golf shop. This includes managing tee times, retail sales, merchandise displays, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient golf experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
Greet all residents and guests warmly, providing professional and courteous assistance.
Handle phone calls and in-person inquiries efficiently.
Answer questions regarding tee time reservations, golf course conditions, policies, and merchandise.
Assist with check-in, payment processing, and ensuring accurate tracking of play.
Retail & Merchandising
Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for sales, returns, and transactions.
Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays.
Assist with restocking, inventory counts, and tagging of merchandise.
Promote sales and special offers to increase shop revenue.
Golf Operations Support
Coordinate tee times, manage group bookings, and monitor pace of play.
Communicate effectively with guest services (starters, marshals, bag staff) to ensure smooth operations.
Keep the golf shop clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
Ensure displays, counters, and equipment are maintained in excellent condition.
Administrative Duties
Assist with daily cash handling and reconciliation including opening and closing duties.
Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
Follow all policies and procedures as set by the golf professional staff.
Qualifications
Previous golf shop, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
Strong guest service and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of golf terminology, rules, and etiquette.
Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Lift or move merchandise up to 25 lbs.
Work both indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Typical Schedule Full-time or part-time; schedule varies seasonally and based on tournament/event calendar.
