An exciting opportunity to develop skills and experience in O′G. The post is not recognised for training but offers similar experience as the ST1 GP trainees, F1s and F2s who share the rota. There is also an active Quality Improvement Team and opportunities for participating in research. EWTD compliant 1:8 rota.
The last post‑holder took advantage of these opportunities and was successful in acquiring part 1 MRCOG and in securing a training number in the Severn Deanery at the national interviews and produced project reports, delivered training and teaching to medical students and foundation doctors and contributed to a national guidance at the RCOG. The contract for this post will be held by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT).

Main duties of the job Integral to the responsibilities of the post are the following requirements:-
To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans
To sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
To undertake all work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies

Job responsibilities
Attending/undertaking ward rounds as required
Requesting investigations / treatment for patients as necessary
Dictating discharge summaries
Liaison with patients & relatives as required
Acute care of women attending in O′G

Medical education in a university recognised by GMC
Completion of Foundation training or equivalent
Able to work full shift pattern
Good teamworking skills
NHS experience
ALS/ATLS/APLS
Evidence of continuing professional development
