The Administrator leads and directs the overall operation of the facility in accordance with resident needs, federal and state regulations and company policies to maintain quality care while achieving business objectives.
Essential Job Functions Administrator
Demonstrates knowledge of age‑specific developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents in directing overall care delivery.
Attends all mandatory in‑services by employee anniversary date.
Communicates and observes the Corporate Compliance Program effectively and complies with the Code of Conduct when performing work functions.
Works with facility staff and consultants to plan all aspects of operations, set priorities and task assignments, monitor departments, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, assist, coach, and discipline as needed.
Conducts regular rounds to ensure resident needs are addressed, monitors departmental operations, facility cleanliness, appearance, and staff morale.
Ensures consultants and support resources are utilized appropriately and maintains a high level of inter‑departmental teamwork.
Maintains a working knowledge of and ensures compliance with all governmental regulations and company QA standards; monitors employee‑relations practices, promotes high morale and staff retention through effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and positive reinforcement.
Manages turnover and ensures adequate staffing through recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and staff education.
Manages facility budgets and business practices, including labor costs, payables, and receivables; monitors business office activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
Develops and implements a marketing strategy that maximizes census, payor mix, and ancillary revenues; leads key marketing staff and actively carries out the plan.
Develops positive relationships with government regulators, families, the health‑care community, and the broader community.
Supervises, conducts, and participates in department and facility education activities and staff meetings.
Demonstrates availability to be on‑call 24 hours per day(level). weeks.
Demonstrates knowledge of all state rules and regulations and provides adequate instruction to staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
Maintains a current, valid Illinois State Nursing Home Administrator’s License
Possesses a minimum of two (2) years applicable management or comparable experience in a long‑term care setting.
Possesses strong knowledge regarding state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long‑term care. sob>
Successfully completes facility‑conducted orientation, mandatory training, and in‑service programs.
Meets health assessment requirements, including a two‑stage Mantoux skin test.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
