Brief Overview
Physician Assistant Otolaryngology
Key Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Obtaining comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams for both new and return patients.
Performing pre-operative, post operative and urgent ORL evaluations in the ORL clinic.
Assisting with procedures both in the clinic setting and in the operating room.
Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and communicating effectively with all members of the team.
Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, consultations and procedures and issuing appropriate prescriptions/medications.
Actively participating in Department of ORishwa educational meetings and conferences.
Participating in research project opportunities.
Working 40 hours per week: four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday and will rotate primarily between Boston, Waltham, and Needham. Occasional shifts at either Weymouth, North Dartmouth, Lexington and Peabody as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Education
A Master of Physician Assistant Studies
Experience
Previous OR experience is preferred
Prior Otolaryngology/Pediatric experience strongly preferred
New grad PAs will be considered
Licensure / Certifications
A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
