Headquartered within the historic Elks Memorial and national campus in Chicago, ENF provides leadership, grantmaking, donor stewardship, and program support to advance the Elks’ mission of service and “quiet good deeds.” The Elks National Foundation has an opportunity for a Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) Administrator at its national headquarters in Chicago. This role is critical to ENF’s transition to a modern CRM environment and will support fundraising, donor relations, data management, reporting, and nationwide program operations. Work inside one of Chicago’s most architecturally significant campuses. Position Purpose The Salesforce NPC Administrator serves as ENF’s primary CRM expert, responsible for system configuration, data management, user support, training, and ongoing platform optimization. The role requires: Deep understanding of data architecture, workflows, and platform capabilities Strong leadership to guide the implementation, governance, and adoption of Salesforce NPC Significant time dedicated to training, retraining, and staff support, ensuring new business processes are clearly conveyed and successfully adopted A dedicated resource to maintain system updates, guide staff, and ensure cohesive and consistent use across the ENF Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) Administration Manage user accounts, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules. Configure and customize Salesforce NPC, including—but not limited to: Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, custom fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports. Maintain data quality and integrity, using validation rules, deduplication, automation, and data governance practices. Serve as the ENF’s primary liaison to Salesforce vendors, consultants, developers, and managed service partners. Manage the Sandbox environment, including deployments, testing cycles, and release planning. Gather and translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice technical solutions. Identify underutilized features, recommend improvements, and optimize platform usage. Create and maintain a platform roadmap aligned with organizational priorities. Provide responsive troubleshooting and support to ENF staff and stakeholders. Training, Support & Organizational Adoption Provide onboarding, ongoing training, and retraining as ENF adopts new workflows, features, and programs. Clearly communicate new business processes to staff and ensure consistent adoption across departments. Develop and maintain documentation, guides, SOPs, and training materials. Dedicate significant time to user support to reinforce strong CRM adoption and data discipline. Promote cohesive and standardized use of Salesforce NPC across the Elks National Foundation. Serve as the Organization-Level Administrator for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and Fundraise Up. Manage global settings, branding, permissions, and segmentation. Support Fundraise Up fundraising and campaign setup, ensuring accurate integration with Salesforce NPC. Maintain email deliverability, list quality, and template governance within Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. Leadership, Change Management & Governance Liaise with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment between organizational needs and system functionality. Lead or support change management efforts as ENF introduces new features or workflows. Support ENF leadership in developing CRM governance practices, data standards, and system rules. Offer strategic insight regarding platform improvements, automations, data quality, and reporting enhancements. Collaborate with Grand Lodge departments and program leaders to ensure consistency across systems. Education & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience, preferably including Ascend or nonprofit CRM experience. Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, data management, and security best practices. Demonstrated experience with configuration (Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, page layouts, record types, dashboards, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications. Experience supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and managing permissions. Preferred Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or NPSP experience. Experience administering Fundraise Up and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. Experience with fundraising, donor management, or nonprofit program operations. Experience with change management, system governance, and CRM adoption strategies. Strong Salesforce product knowledge and hands‑on configuration expertise. Excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills. Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to data integrity, platform security, and responsible system governance. Other Position Requirements Occasional overtime or weekend work during major implementations, upgrades, or deployments. Flexibility to adapt to evolving technology and organizational needs.
