Job Quick Facts Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Illinois - Dixon & Galesburg Service Setting: Outpatient/Inpatient Reason For Need: Supplemental Coverage Period: Jan 5, 2026 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical only Shift Schedule: Nights only; 7p-7a - 15 shifts per month; 12-hr shifts Patient Volume: - Dixon: 55 to 60 daily - Galesburg: Ave. 2 patients per hr Annual Patient Volume: 28,000 (Galesburg) Patient Demographics: 90% Adults, 10% Peds Mid-levels in Practice: Available - The APP will always be in a mid shift in order to have physician oversight. All Specialties Onsite: Yes Case Mix: General surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho, Cardiology, Infectious disease, PRN Urology, transfer emergent, GI-no ERCP (ERCP transferred) Procedures: - Dixon: Normal procedures in the ED. - Galesburg: Standard intubation, central lines, joint reductions, sedation, laceration repair, lumbar punctures. No. of Beds: 13 ED beds; 81 IP beds Trauma Level: II EMR: Cerner (Dixon) & Epic (Galesburg) Other Info: Single coverage at night Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements: Active IL license BC/BE (ABEM for Galesburg) DEA CSR BLS, ACLS EM-residency trained At least 1 year of experience
