FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: II EMR: Epic & Cerner Powerchart Specialty Backup: CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, EP, Trauma/ACS, Ortho, Neurosurgery Support Staff: APP coverage typically 8a-12p, PA-C assistance in AM
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (Full and Temporary Privileges available) Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Airfare, lodging, parking, mileage, rental car, ground transportation) Lodging Cap: $175/night at non-preferred hotels (no incidentals permitted) Airfare: Economy seating, no upgrades, 1 checked bag Rental Car: Mid-size car (AprNov, $75/day cap) | Mid-size 4WD SUV (DecMar, $100/day cap) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) Cardioversions
JOB REQUIREMENTS Active PA License or IMLC BC in Cardiology DEA ACLS, BLS Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty Proficiency with Epic and Cerner
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide IP & OP cardiology care Cover weekday clinic, weeknight call, and/or 24-hr weekend call Conduct IP rounding, consults, TEEs, cardioversions, and image readings Proctor stress tests occasionally Collaborate with APPs and PA-Cs for patient management Respond to calls, with most handled via phone triage; rare in-person stat TEE for dissection
