PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: Annual volume 17,400 Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included as needed Phone Consults: As required Case Mix: Emergency cases of varying acuity
FACILITY INFORMATION Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalist and Specialty teams available Support Staff Available: Physicians and Advanced Practitioners Reason for Coverage: Coverage needs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: (Urgent need; expedited possible)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Emergency Medicine procedures as per department scope
JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license / IMLC required Board: Board Certification not required; must have completed a 3-year residency (will accept 1-year post-graduate training if Boarded) Boards Accepted: EM, FP, IM (except residents); ABEM exempt; ABPS and AAPS not accepted DEA: Pending DEA accepted Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency training preferred Other Qualifications: Proof of immunizations and recent PPD or QuantiFERON required; must pass criminal background check;
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care for all patient presentations within the Emergency Department Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for acute and urgent medical conditions Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and other hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the facility EMR system Participate in departmental quality and compliance initiatives
