Hematology/Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Prestonsburg and Hazard, KY Service Setting: Outpatient | Oncology Clinic Coverage Type: Clinical Only (Scheduled + No Call) Coverage Period: 01/12/2026
13 weeks (12 months preferred) Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 days/week minimum, 8:00 AM

JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: KY state license/ Willing to obtain Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology DEA: Required Certifications: Not Specified Years of Experience Required: Not Specified Charting Experience: Meditech familiarity preferred Other Qualifications: Ability to work independently as a low-volume, solo outpatient provider; collaborate with APPs and affiliate physicians
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient hematology and oncology clinical care to adult patients Manage an average caseload of approximately 15 patients per clinic day Coordinate care with APP support and affiliate physicians at Hazard for specialty backup Document all patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in Meditech Participate in standard clinical workflows for chemotherapy/infusion oversight and follow-up care Communicate with facility staff regarding coverage needs and patient care issues
