The

Assistant Coach

is responsible for assisting in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive football program in the Big Sky Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: coaching, recruiting, and counseling student‑athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; fundraising and public relations; adhering to all rules and regulations of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky Conference.

Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive football program in the Big Sky Conference.

Coaching, recruiting, and counseling student‑athletes.

Managing daily administrative duties of the program.

Fundraising and public relations.

Adhering to all rules and regulations of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky Conference.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum three years collegiate coaching/collegiate competition.

Demonstrate excellent professional/interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrate a commitment to the total welfare of student‑athletes.

Demonstrate a commitment to developing a successful Division I football program both academically and athletically.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree with five years collegiate coaching experience and/or NFL coaching experience.

Benefits Salary: $65,100 – $75,686 annually, negotiable based on years of experience, skills, and internal equity. Benefits include 95% premium‑paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for the employee, spouse or dependent at any Oregon University System schools (https://www.pdx.edu/human-resources/benefits-overview).
