Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser Floater you will work independently, establish retailer relationships, optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the service stores.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00–$14.00 depending on skills and experience.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours: 4–8 hours per week.

Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device provided by Hallmark. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys.

Holiday support: during peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) expect additional days and extended hours; may work on the holiday itself.

Department resets: assist with installations, building fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.

Team collaboration: support other merchandisers in your territory as needed.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds routinely and 50 pounds occasionally; kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout; climbing stairs and ladders may be required.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years old.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Proficient with a digital hand‑held device to open/read documents and interpret information.

Access to Wi‑Fi network and the internet.

Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
