The Manager on Duty (MOD) is the on‑site leader responsible for safe, smooth, and guest‑focused operations during their shift. This role oversees front‑of‑house and track operations, ensures guest satisfaction, leads and coaches team members, and responds to incidents in real time. The MOD is the face of RPM Raceway’s service standards—driving speed, safety, and fun for guests across karting, arcade, food & beverage, parties, and events.
Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service
Lead by example to deliver a premium, high‑energy guest experience across all attractions (karting, arcade, VR, F&B).
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally; offer service recovery solutions (comps, re‑rides, credits) within guidelines.
Maintain venue ambiance and cleanliness; ensure queue efficiency, clear signage, and accurate wait‑time communication.
Operations & Safety
Oversee бой daily floor and track operations, ensuring adherence to RPM Raceway SOPs, safety protocols, and kart maintenance standards.
Conduct pre‑shift safety checks for track, barriers, karts, helmets, PPE, and pit areas; escalate any hazards immediately.
Manage race scheduling and throughput to optimize capacity and guest flow.
Monitor compliance with age/height/weight restrictions and waiver processes.
Lead or support incident response, including minor first aid, accident documentation, and reporting.
Team Leadership & Training
Supervise and piscine floor associates, race marshals, cashiers, party hosts, and F&B staff during the shift.
Run pre‑shift huddles: assign positions, review goals, update on promos/events, and reinforce safety topics.
Train new team members on guest service, track operations, POS procedures, and emergency protocols.
Provide real‑time performance feedback; recognize wins and address issues constructively.
Sales & Revenue
Drive upsells (multi‑race bundles, memberships, photo/video packages, arcade cards, F&B).
Support party and group bookings; ensure event setups are timely and accurate.
Monitor POS accuracy, voucher/redemption use, and cash handling compliance.
Administration & Reporting
Complete shift paperwork: incident reports, race logs, staffing notes, and inventory counts (helmets, suits, radios).
Manage breaks/coverage to maintain service levels and labor budgets.
Track and communicate KPI performance (wait times, race throughput, guest satisfaction, safety metrics).
Facility Stewardship
Ensure FOH/BOH cleanliness and readiness (staging lanes, pit, lockers, restrooms, party rooms).
Report maintenance needs (karts, barriers, timing systems, radios, lighting) and follow up on work orders.
Qualifications Required
1–2 years of leadership experience in entertainment, hospitality, retail, or fast‑paced operations.
Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Comfortable enforcing safety rules and addressing non‑compliance.
Proficient with POS systems and basic cash handling.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods and work in a loud, fast‑paced environment.
Preferred
Experience in indoor karting, family entertainment centers (FEC), or amusement venues.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Familiarity with race timing systems and scheduling software.
Event or party operations experience.
