Overview
ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking several Sport Program Supervisors. Join our dedicated Campus Recreation and Wellness ( CRW ) team as a Sports Program Supervisor! This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in overseeing and managing sports programs.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage intramural sports programs and games.
Train, schedule, and evaluate sports officials and scorekeepers.
Ensure the safety and fair play of all participants.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of sports equipment and facilities.
Provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators.
Promote CRW sports programs and encourage student participation.
Travel to and from off-site activities in CRW vehicles while adhering to all applicable University policies/procedures.
Ensure safety through proper First Aid, CPR, and EAP training.
Check-in teams and ensure waivers/forms are completed before each contest.
Work nights and weekends to include at least two shifts per calendar week.
Perform hourly activity level counts at various CRW facilities.
You will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of the campus community through organized sports activities. CRW is committed to creating an environment of belonging and well-being and supports the Division of Student Affairs’ commitment to purposeful well-being.
Qualifications Preferred (Majors, GPA):
Kinesiology
Recreation and Park Management
Sports Management
General Qualifications:
Experience in sports or officiating preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of sports rules and regulations (preferred)
CPR and First Aid certification required. Blood-borne pathogens training within the past year is required ( CRW does offer certification classes to all employees if not previously certified)
