Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee project activities related to Direct Division (D2) projects. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Successfully manage and track multiple concurrent construction projects from project award through completion of post-installation punch lists. Travel (~25%) throughout the United States as required. Generate athletic equipment layout drawings (Padding, Netting, Batting Tunnels, etc.) and other project-related documents as required for customer approval, material fabrication and installation coordination. Perform site visits and obtain detailed field measurements, meet with customers, and generate/verify designs. Analyze and organize project documents to gain a detailed understanding of each project. Review contracts for scope/accuracy and navigate contractual disputes. Manage project schedules and coordinate with Contractors, Customers, Sales, Engineering, Production/Operations, Finance, Installers, and other departments as required. Maintain organized project records for frequent reference by others. Communicate effectively at all levels and predict/solve problems as they arise. Perform other duties as assigned by Regional Project Managers and Management. Required Qualifications: Skills: Excellent technical/construction, written, verbal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, high-pressure environment with some travel. Familiarity with construction equipment/procedures and overall technical aptitude. Outstanding organizational/prioritization skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking. Basic Project/Financial Management skills, including managing Contracts, Change Orders and Schedules. Working knowledge/understanding of sports and the related equipment is preferred. Experience/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or similar field. 3+ years of Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering experience in an academic and/or professional environment. Previous experience with CAD, Drafting, Graphic Design and/or PDF markup tools. Compensation Range: $70-80k, the compensation range indicated represents the minimum and maximum range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
