ARCS Aviation is seeking an experienced Mid-Level WebXR Developer to assist in the development of extended reality (XR) systems. This position is ideal for an innovative and team-oriented programmer who is looking to solve real-world problems and has experience in XR development from initiation to completion. ARCS frequently works as a government contractor for the US Department of Defense and commercial clients conducting research and development to provide solutions utilizing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, digital media, or a related field.
Experience
5+
Years of Professional Experience.
3D/XR Frameworks : Three.js, Babylon.js, A-Frame, React-three-fiber.
3D Tools : Blender, Maya, other 3D modeling/design tools.
APIs : WebXR Device API, WebGL, WebRTC, Web Sockets.
General : Responsive design, performance optimization, working with external APIs, mobile/desktop development basics.
Responsibilities
WebXR Developer/Engineer : Builds immersive AR/VR features using WebXR APIs, often with frameworks like Three.js, Babylon.js, or A-Frame, focusing on performance, scalability, and cross-platform compatibility.
Product Manager (XR) : Oversees the strategy, development, and deployment of WebXR products, aligning them with business goals.
XR/3D Content Creator : Designs and develops interactive 3D content, models, and experiences for web-based AR/VR applications.
UX/UI Design for XR : Creates intuitive user interfaces and experiences tailored for immersive environments, ensuring usability across devices.
Software Engineer (Spatial Web) : Works on broader spatial computing, potentially integrating WebXR with other web technologies and platforms.
Soft Skills
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly for XR-specific challenges.
Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and engineers.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to the rapidly evolving XR landscape.
