Brief Position Summary Under the DC supervision of the Solution Implementation Manager, the Inventory Management Specialist (IMS) would be responsible for successfully implementing the various inventory management solutions offered by MSC. This includes driving solutions, installations, data collection, vending machine diagnostics, maintenance and training. The position focuses on advanced solution selling and implementation tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with all MSC sales teams to generate explosive sales growth through solutions.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of all MSC solutions, including bar-coded solutions such as CMI and VMI, vending, Crib Software, and more.

Follow all required Salesforce protocols for project and time management.

Drive proficiencies in discovery, recommendations, installations, break‑fix (onsite service), post‑install support, supply chain optimization, fiscal responsibility, and cancellation support.

Adhere to service level agreements to consistently deliver best‑in‑class results.

Show proficiency with the tools, technology, and related personal protective equipment essential for success.

Provide feedback to management for continuous process improvement.

Represent MSC Solutions at branch meetings and foster partnerships with sales associates.

Support designated team goals and objectives, and follow all MSC policies and procedures documented in the associate handbook.

Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Foster the MSC culture in the department and throughout the company ib ensuring unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.

Minimum two (2) years supporting value‑added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferred.

Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software is preferred.

Knowledge of MSC‑like product lines/services and MSC‑related experience is required.

Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred.

Other Requirements

A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 75%, including overnight, is required.

Must possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools.

Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting approximately 50 lbs.

Ability to work in various industrial environments.

Must adhere to customer‑specific requirements such as wearing hard hats, safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, etc.

Compensation Compensation starts at $53,000–$59,000, depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements, and peer pay equity. The company reserves theინააღმდეგ right to modify the range as market conditions change.
