Position Summary
Work Study Preferred but Not Required
TheDepartment of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences- a large, complex, clinical department within the UNM School of Medicine- is seeking a student program assistant who will support our administrativeteam.
Under direct supervision, position duties will include:
Project Assistance: aid in the execution of a variety of projects requiringconsistent and effective communication, organization, resourcefulness, anddiligence.
Reception:provide front desk reception, greet, and direct visitors, answer phones, takemessages, sort and distribute mail, relay administrative concerns andcommunications.
Dataentry: assist with data entry across multiple projects including maintain databases and directories, perform data quality checks, andfiling.
Documentation:draft documents and presentations, assist with reporting, create flyers, andinvitations.
Office maintenance: assist with supply orders, organize and maintain/restock supplies, shred, recycle and ensure office is welcoming.
Events: assist with set up, clean up and coordination of meetings/events.
This position requires proficiency in Microsoft applications, honoring confidentiality, attention todetail, and reliability. We are looking for someone who is thoughtful and responsive to requests, resourceful, flexible and patient, and follows through. Excellent administrative and organizationalskills as well as outstanding customer service skills are a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate skills in Excel, Outlook, and all other Microsoft Suite applications
Demonstrated experience with Zoom
Experience with Smartsheet
Excellent interpersonal skills
Understanding and demonstration of requirements for working in a professional environment
Ability to maintain a positive attitude
Ability to follow-through while multi-tasking
