Oversees material handling equipment (MHE) inventory, purchasing processes, and places orders as needed to replenish stock. Leads MHE team and assigns work tasks to partners.**SCOPE OF WORK**Displays a list of typical duties and accountabilities. List is not based on order of priority.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.* Works in conjunction with upper management to determine pay and budget for department.* Oversees material handling equipment workflow, repairs, and maintenance team.* Works closely with third parties to ensure repairs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.* Maintains material handling spare part inventories.* Monitors repair documentation and preventative maintenance work order processes (internally and for third parties).* Documents and tracks material handling equipment assets and usage.* Assists with other maintenance related tasks as assigned.**SKILLS AND EDUCATION****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Advanced knowledge of material handling equipment and repairs required.* Advanced knowledge of inventory management processes required.* Advanced knowledge of electrical troubleshooting procedures required.* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.* Intermediate mathematical skills.* Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.* Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations.* Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.* Ability to comprehend and interpret information.* Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.* Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.* Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.* Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.* Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.* Ability to use knives/box cutters.* Ability to operate heavy machinery/ hazardous equipment.* Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack.* Ability to use precision hand tools.* May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.* Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.**Education, Experience and Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or GED required and three or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.* Completion of vocational or technical school preferred.* Associate degree in related field preferred.* Minimum of 18 years of age required.* Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.* Material handling equipment training preferred.* OSHA 10 Certification preferred.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.**Physical Demands:*** Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.* Continuously required to talk and hear.* Frequently required to stand or walk.* Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.* Occasionally required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.* Occasionally required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).* Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 100 lbs.* Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.* Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop or crawl.* Attendance at work is required.**Work Context and Environment:*** Work is generally performed in an industrial environment.* Frequently exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather).* Frequently exposed to extreme heat conditions (non-weather).* Frequently exposed to hot surfaces.* Frequently exposed to wet, slippery or damp conditions.* Frequently exposed to industrial odors, fumes and dust.* Frequently exposed to heights.* Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather.* Occasionally exposed to cleaning agents.* Occasionally exposed to confined spaces (ex. air vents, crawl spaces).* Noise level varies.
