Daycare Teacher - St. Louis City
Join the St. Louis Children’s Hospital as a Daycare Teacher and work with children ages 0‑6 years. This full‑time position (40 hours) is located at the Child Development Center, Taylor Ave.
Base Pay $16.50/hr – $19.11/hr
Hours Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. No weekends or nights
Overview St. Louis Children’s Hospital is a nationally ranked pediatric hospital that provides comprehensive care and education. The Daycare Teacher supports the Children’s Center team by creating a safe, nurturing environment for young learners and coordinating with teachers to implement developmentally appropriate programs.
Responsibilities
Build positive relationships with the team and model appropriate behavior for children.
Assist teachers in creating a child‑centered learning environment, organizing learning centers, and selecting activities to support each child’s developmental and educational needs.
Write and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and maintain current portfolios and documentation.
Use positive guidance techniques to encourage responsibility, respect, and healthy social and emotional development.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification in CPR (preferred).
