One (1) year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT or RC Meetings or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA/ARC) Valid radiology technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses may be required Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. The role involves preparing patients, operating fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound Assist physicians by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment Manage and restock procedural supplies Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members for seamless patient care Follow infection‑control and safety protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations 病 adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills Proficient in reading and writing English, following verbal instructions, and PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal skills for working with varied personnel, maintaining a professional attitude Technical skills for fine manipulation and assistance during procedures Ability to cope with frequent public contact under pressure and to work independently as needed Sound visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits
