Job Summary and Responsibilities The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides general nursing care to patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments, prepares equipment, and aids physicians during examinations. Responsibilities include observing patients, recording significant conditions and reactions, notifying supervisors or physicians, taking vital signs, and possibly rotating among various clinical services based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
