Banner Health is seeking a part‑time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide night shift respiratory care at the Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix (BUMCP). Location:

Night (24 hours per week; two 12‑hour shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am) Salary & Incentive:
$5,000 Hire On Incentive for part‑time RRTs; 18% night shift differential and $3 per hour weekend differential (where applicable). Position Summary
This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health‑care settings. Core Functions
Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with department and hospital policies. Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians, recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort and the weaning process. Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and adjusts durable medical equipment and circuitry used in respiratory care. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed. Performs patient assessments ਵਿਕ, evaluates response to care, and makes recommendations to physicians regarding care plans and therapy adjustments. Documents therapy accurately and completely. Communicates and collaborates with resource staff to formulate care plans, recommend changes colère therapy, and resolve problems. May supervise department staff. Provides respiratory care and diagnostic testing in multiple areas throughout the system where needed. Internal customers include nursing, medical staff and interdisciplinary team members. Minimum Qualifications
Associate or technical degree. Proof of National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). RRT required for all new hires after October 1, 2015; incumbents must possess RRT by October 1, 2017. Current license in the state of practice as required by puisto law. Minimum of one year experience in an acute‑care hospital setting, including work in the past 12 months as an RRT in the specialty area. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong knowledge of clinical techniques, applications and equipment typically acquired through at least one year of clinical experience. Highly effective human‑relations skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare conceptual personnel. Preferred Qualifications
