Job Description The Business Enablement team with the CFO’s Office at the University of Florida is seeking a strategic financial analyst to support financial services across the institution. This position plays a key role in enabling smarter, faster and more efficient financial operations by streamlining processes, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic growth through financial analyses.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across departments to lead financial analyses and budgeting that inform decision making. This role supports the development of short- and long-term priorities and ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and relevant financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct balance sheet reviews, financial statement reviews, cash flow forecasting, and ad hoc financial analyses to support institutional decision-making.
Monitor financial trends and patterns to identify risks and opportunities
Develop actionable insights to support operational and financial goals.
Support performance monitoring aligned with strategic plan goals and key performance indicators.
Build financial models to predict financial and operational outcomes of business decisions.
Budgeting & Financial Operations
Coordinate financial reporting and budget functions, including cost and cash flow analyses.
Develop and manage annual budgets and operational forecasts.
Develop templates, reports, timelines, and coordinate meetings for key financial planning processes with key stakeholders.
Contribute to the identification and rationalization of key performance indicators.
Policy & Institutional Engagement
Contribute to the development of university-wide policies and procedures.
Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration across financial and operational functions.
$75,000 - 85,000
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization with 4 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
Demonstrated experience with financial data, reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
