Children & Adolescent Therapist – Acute Care
Join North Star Behavioral Health as a Clinical Therapist in our acute inpatient program for children and adolescents (ages 4‑18). Our 30‑day program offers 24‑hour nursing, evidence‑based treatment, and rapid stabilization toward less intensive care.
Full‑time positions are eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus. New graduates are welcomed to apply.
Key Responsibilities payday
Provide direct psychotherapy to patients, delivering individual and group therapy aligned with the Master Treatment Plan.
Collect, analyze, and document psychosocial history, treatment progress, and discharge planning.
VALUES the Master Treatment Plan with interdisciplinary team members and clients' families.
Serve as the primary liaison between families, agencies, and the treatment team for discharge and abuse reporting.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions and treatment outcomes.
Engage families in ongoing progress reviews and support them throughout treatment.
Job Duties
Meet patients weekly to assess response to treatment, adjust objectives, and set goals.
Lead process and specialty group therapy sessions as assigned.
Collaborate with other clinicians to develop individualized treatment plans and interventions.
Ensure documentation references the medical necessity for treatment and outlines discharge instructions.
Qualifications
Master’sgarden in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Alaska LCSW or LPC licensure, or eligibility for licensure preferred.
Proficiency in delivering psychotherapeutic services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
