VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in correctional health care, is looking for full‑time Mental Health Professionals (LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC*) to serve at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, MA.

We offer a competitive base salary of
$80,000 – $115,000
per year, an annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Summary The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide proactive, collaborative care. Responsibilities include crisis stabilization, intake and ongoing evaluations, and consultation with community services.
Essential Functions
Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and consult with in‑house and community services.
Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and collaborate with the medical team to determine treatment plans.
Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate care with interdisciplinary and community providers; provide discharge planning.
Assist in planning and implementing program and project goals.
Prepare documentation, records and reports.
Utilize clinical skills including crisis management, brief interventions (CBT, Motivational Interviewing).
Maintain excellent and timely documentation.
Lead group, individual and crisis therapy.
Make independent clinical decisions with supervisory support as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW, LICSW) or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent; at minimum, master’s level qualification.
Graduate from a master’s level program.
At least one year of employment in a social work or mental health capacity in a public or private agency.
