Summary The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations. Position

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws and timed glucose tolerance testing.

Process specimens (paps, cultures, urine, and those collected by office staff) in the computer system کوئیب.

Package specimens for pick‑up by the courier and maintain inventory of stock.

High customer service is a must.

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection (e.g., urine or fecal) in a clear but courteous manner.

Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you are employed as required in some states.

Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of experience.
