Responsibilities
Answer all calls into the 511GA system regarding stalled vehicles, signal issues, debris, etc.
Provide outstanding customer service when responding to customer calls.
Work with GDOT personnel for all signal and maintenance-related issues on state routes and interstates within the district.
Detect and manage traffic incidents, directing calls to appropriate resources such as CHAMP, local police, GSP, ATMC, and GDOT.
Enter and manage all roadway incidents in ATMC’s NaviGAtor system.
Maintain construction events across the entire state of Georgia except Metro Atlanta.
Perform lawkeeping and data gathering, and update manuals and contact lists.
Coordinate with in-field CHAMP Operators and GDOT personnel to assist with accidents, stalls, debris, vehicle fires, and other issues.
Maintain awareness of ně location of all field CHAMP Operators assigned to shift.
Ensure radio communications comply with Department and FCC rules and regulations.
Adhere to radio protocol and use proper 10-codes.
Detect and confirm scheduled or unscheduledHosts traffic incidents and adjust traffic signal schedules accordingly.
Disseminate pertinent traffic incident and signal information to the public via Dynamic Message Signs, social media, email, and telephone communications.
Obtain and report traffic incident status information to and from multiple agencies.
Manage traffic incidents and cue information in accordance with standard operating guidelines.
Qualifications
Proficient data entry skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience in a call center or extensive customer service background.
Previous experience working in a role involving heavy telephone, radio, and computer usage.
Preferable: 911 Operator or dispatching experience.

Demonstrated proficiency in dispatching field personnel via radio.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proper English, diction, grammar, and spelling.
Willingness and ability to learn new computer programs.
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical information.
Problem‑solving skills, prioritizing duties, and completing required tasks effectively.
Familiarity with incident/congestion management and general traffic signal design principles.
Requirements Physical presence at the client’s location with limited remote work; reliable transportation required. Employees may be required to work holidays, weekends, and special events. Site not accessible via public transportation.
