Main Responsibilities
Perform installation and maintenance of proprietary ALPLA equipment (extrusion blow, stretch blow, injection molding machines, packaging systems, automated palletizers) and general facility maintenance.
Equipment installation and preventative maintenance – install and set up equipment, conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks, perform minor modifications and adjustments to enhance performance.
Predictive maintenance – use condition monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify potential issues before downtime; assess equipment health, analyze data trends and plan maintenance actions.
Troubleshooting and repairs – diagnose technical problems in molding machines, collaborate with technical experts, execute repairs independently or with guidance to restore functionality promptly.
Facility maintenance support – contribute to general maintenance tasks beyond equipment, help maintain a safe and organized environment, collaborate with facilities team for a conducive production environment.
What Makes You Great
Performing basic‑skilled level maintenance activities sufficient to succeed in the essential duties.
Minimum high‑school diplomaofilm or equivalent.
Two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or similar industry.
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge of industrial maintenance safety.
Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls.
Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience with programmable controllers.
Knowledge of occupational math skills for measurements and calculations.
Problem‑solving and team collaboration capabilities.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance.
Frequent use of hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear.
Occasional sitting.
Regularly lift or move up to 10 lbs, frequently 30 lbs, occasionally more than 50 lbs.
Experience Required
3 years in manufacturing maintenance.
Education Required
Technical or other training or better in mechanical engineering. Technical or other training or better in mechanical systems.
Preferred
Technical or other training or better in engineering.
Behavioral Requirements
