Job Summary The Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians/nurse practitioners and nurses with day‑to‑day operations. The role is responsible for managing supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Details and Requirements Type:
Full Time (80 hours per 2‑week pay period, with benefits)
Typical hours:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Certification & Licensure:
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Experience:
Skill in taking vital signs.
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Basic computer skills (required).
Ability to learn and perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as x‑rays and non‑waived testing.
