Athletic Trainer (AT) – Orthopedics, Outreach
Location: Keene, NH
Apply for the Athletic Trainer (AT) – Orthopedics, Outreach position at Dartmouth Health. This role combines high school athletic training with patient care at Cheshire Medical Center.
Base Pay Range $22.90 per hour – $34.35 per hour
Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of physicians and in close cooperation with the contracted high school, athletic director, and designees to prevent, evaluate, diagnose, and treat athletic‑related injuries.
Provide athletic training services at the high IMO school and high‑wrap quality care to patients at Cheshire Medical Center.
Assist in the daily flow and operation of the orthopedic clinic, including taking patient histories, communicating with attending physicians, educating patients on therapeutic exercises, applying/removing plaster casts and splints, chart documentation, patient triage, staple/suture removal, and fitting durable medical equipment.
Qualifications
Graduation from a CAATE‑accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
One year experience as a NATA‑certified Athletic Trainer recommended; new graduates welcome.
Current NATA BOC recognition as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New Hampshire.
BLS certification within three months of hire, maintained biannually.
Employment Details
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
