Licensed Veterinary Technician
to join our swing shift emergency service.
Position Overview As a Licensed Veterinary Technician on our emergency team, you will play a vital role in managing and triaging urgent and critical cases, providing high‑quality nursing care, and supporting veterinarians in lifesaving treatments. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate excellent technical skills, and exemplify calm professionalism under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality nursing care to emergency and critically ill patients
Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, diagnostics, and surgeries
Perform triage, monitor vital signs, and administer treatments/medications
Collect samples and run laboratory tests
Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient status and care plans
Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols
Support the team during high‑volume caseloads and participate in training and mentorship opportunities
Qualifications
Current South Carolina Veterinary Technician License (or eligibility to obtain)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred; emergency/critical care experience a plus
Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
Ability to stay calm and focused in emergency situations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Schedule & Compensation
Swing shifts available: 10‑ or 12‑hour options to promote work‑life balance
