Position Summary The Dishwasher performs a variety of food service functions, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food services, facilities, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain clean and sanitary conditions of food services, facilities, and equipment.
Remove all garbage, leaving machinery empty, clean, dry, and floors clean after each meal.
Follow posted work schedule and arrive on time in appropriate work attire.
Wash china, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment using machine rinse pressure and water temperature.
Maintain kitchen and assigned area in a sanitary manner.
Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with co‑workers and residents.
May be required to help with food preparation, inventory, maintenance, food deliveries, and stocking shelves.
Education / Experience / Licensure Some kitchen experience desirable.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Familiar with food handling procedures and regulations.
Know how to operate kitchen appliances such as dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine.
