Description The Airside Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety and operational readiness of designated airside areas. The role supports airport operations by ensuring that baggage rooms, concourse exteriors, jet bridge areas and surrounding grounds are free of debris and hazards, in compliance with airport authority, TSA, and FAA safety Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Remove debris, trash, and foreign objects from baggage rooms, concourse exterior areas, and under jet bridges.
Empty and properly dispose of trash from receptacles located in baggage rooms and assigned airside locations.
Clean and maintain airside grounds extending from terminal areas to adjacent roadways.
Operate and maintain street sweeper and other assigned equipment to sweep debris from paved surfaces.
Perform routine inspections of assigned areas and report unsafe conditions, damage, or maintenance to supervision.
Follow all airside safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to secure area access requirements.
Maintain situational awareness around aircraft, ground service equipment, and vehicle traffic at all times.
Comply with airport security protocols, badging requirements, and escort procedures.
Assist with special cleaning projects, weather‑related clean‑up, or emergency response efforts as directed.
Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in airport operations, grounds maintenance, custodial services, or industrial cleaning is a plus.
Ability to safely operate a street sweeper and perform other light maintenance.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required airport security clearance and airside badge.
A valid driver's license may be required depending on the assignment.
Work performed in active airside operational areas around aircraft and ground support.
Able to have reliable transportation.
Authorizations to work in the U.S.
Full-Time
Pay rate $17
Hours-3rd Shift: 9pm-5am Monday‑Sunday
