Child Care Staff – Northern Colorado (Greeley, Fort Collins)

Job Description:
This position is a childcare staff position that works directly with the kids of Hope & Home to provide a safe, fun and interactive environment, while their parents or caregivers attend Support Group. Children in foster care need consistency and this position is a wonderful way to help kids while learning more about the diverse and ever‑changing world of foster care. We often say that “the difference is making a child feel truly special” and this role does just that!

Salary:
$14.81 per hour (CO minimum wage)
Hours Details:
Initially only one two groups per month (approx. 5pm-9pm), but will increase over time. Specific dates to be scheduled. Additional hours to help with events as scheduled are available. Hours are consistent, but not guaranteed. This role is ideal for college students or young adults who may have another part‑time or full‑time job but are interested in learning more about caring for children and/or the foster care system.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide a safe and fun environment for children ages 1-18
Conduct all activities in a positive and professional manner
Follow all Hope & Home policies and procedures
Supervise activities of all children inınd assigned age group
Engage children with games, toys, and other approved activities
Ensure that every childാഭ is welcomed, supported, and made to feel special during the evening
Report any incidents to supervisor
Maintain required paperwork and records
Responsible for set up before group and general cleaning duties after group each night
Assist as needed at other scheduled events throughout the year
Qualifications:
Ability to work on scheduled dates
At least one year of experience working with children preferred
Patience in working with children
Able to work well on a team
Flexible and able to adjust to change
Holds themselves to high standards
Willing to go the extra mile
Energetic and friendly
Certifications/Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. 21 years of age and older preferred.
Must complete CPR and First Aid training (upon hiring)
Must complete Hope & Home orientation and training (upon hiring)
Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Full mobility is required.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the support group locations.
