JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for maintaining the upkeep, cleanliness, repairs and landscape of the grounds surrounding the Casino.
Essentials/Overview ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains landscape of the grounds surrounding the entire Casino structures including snow removal, mowing and raking the lawn, trash removal, etc.
Provides general maintenance and repair service for company vehicles
Maintains a clean work area
Adheres to all rules and regulations pertaining to the Department.
Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate lawn machinery and small hand tools
Valid Minnesota driver’s license and be insurable
Heavy equipment operator license beneficial
Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and how to properly handle and mix them.
Knowledge of sweeper, sprinkler system watering, pruning and trimming, mowing, weed eradication and prevention, care of flowering plants, trees, baler and recycling
Landscaping experience helpful
Knowledge of riding lawn mower and snow plows
Knowledge of how to change the oil in snowplows, riding lawn mowers, weed trimmers and edger
Must be flexible in working various hours, shifts, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Prolonged standing and walking is required.
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
Subject to external working conditions including extreme weather conditions.
Education and Skills Education Required:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience:
Six months related experience
Computer Skills:
Certificates & Licenses:
Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
