Position Overview
Grants Administrator needed for a large nonprofit organization in Los Angeles. The role involves managing the complete life‑cycle of grants, from pre‑award to post‑award activities. Responsibilities include audit, compliance, reconciliation, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organization skills, and a knack for managing complex financial data. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience required.
Base Pay Range $35.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Responsibilities
Oversee the entire grant life‑cycle, from pre‑award planning and application to post‑award administration and closeout.
Ensure full compliance with grantor guidelines and regulations at all stages of the grant process.
Conduct regular audits of grant activities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, for all grant activities.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations for all grants.
Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective grant management strategies.
Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, andlyni best practices in grant administration and financial management.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of grant administration.
Provide training and support to staff on grant management and compliance issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in grant administration, focusing on financial management and compliance.
Extensive knowledge of grant-related audits, compliance, reconciliation, and journal entries.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and private grant regulations and procedures.
Proficiency in financial management software and databases.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality.
