Overview Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design‑build expansions, and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment, petroleum‑related construction to pre‑engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.

Position Summary The individual will serve as a working supervisor for typical crew sizes of 5 to 15 employees focused on earthwork and/or concrete scopes, as well as assist the superintendent with all related industrial construction activities.

Job Duties

Ensures projects are completed safely, properly and productively.

Enforces safety programs, rules and procedures.

Ensures that all employees wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Ensures work complies with Kelley and customer procedures and directives.

Ensures that proper housekeeping is being executed by field crew.

Serves as the assistant to the Superintendent.

Responsible for identifying, addressing, and correcting jobsite problems.

Responsible to backup superintendent in areas of documentation, such as reports, inspections logs, time sheets, and drawings.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

2 years supervisory experience in a commercial or industrial construction environment.

Extensive experience and knowledge of form carpentry, concrete finishing and/or mobile equipment operations in industrial construction.

Ability to coach, lead and direct construction crew.

Ability to read, interpret and execute construction drawings, specifications and workplans.

Eligible for Transportation Worker Industry Card (TWIC) from the Department of Homeland Security.

OSHA 10‑hr certification.

Flexible and able to travel (up to 100%).

Comfortable navigating web‑based apps; Procore experience a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands Individual will be required to lift, bend, climb, stoop, and work around moving machinery, dust, and fumes. Also, will be required to work inclement weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 90 lbs.
