Driver Trainer
St. Vrain Valley School District is seeking a Driver Trainer to support its transportation services.
Overview Transportation Services’ mission is to provide safe, efficient transportation that supports the educational environment while complying with governmental regulations and Board policy. Over 100 bus drivers travel more than 1,400,000 miles annually transporting more than 6,900 students daily. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Responsibilities
Evaluate safe walking paths and distances for student transit
Assess traffic issues and patterns impacting routes
Respond around the clock to emergency breakdowns and accidents involving school buses and support fleet vehicles
Determine bus stop locations to ensure student safety and efficiency
Maintain school and support fleet vehicles to meet safety standards
Monitor and train coaches and teachers who use Suburban or minibuses
Train commercial driver’s license holders to ensure compliance with federal regulations
