Asleep Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pay:
$11.41 – $18.25 per hour
Job Overview The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision during service recipients' asleep hours and assist with morning routines. The person generally works without direct supervision in the performance of assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintain a set schedule and supervise service recipients during their asleep hours.
Provide support and assistance to service recipients throughout the night as needed.
Help service recipients get ready for the day and start the morning routine.
Perform all shift duties in accordance with program protocols, rules, and regulations.
Build relationships with service recipients and provide positive support.
Traits of the Ideal Candidate
Relates well with others.
Possesses sound judgment, initiative, and self‑direction.
Organizational skills.
High level of responsibility.
Ability to take immediate and appropriate action in a variety of situations.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow a set schedule and attend all required trainings.
Driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be 18 years old or older. Preferred Qualifications
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
One‑year experience working with people with disabilities or people over 65 years of age.
Proven ability to develop positive relationships with persons with developmental disabilities.
Expertise and knowledge of person‑centered planning process and philosophy.
Salary
$11.41 per hour during asleep hours
$18.25 per hour during awake hours
