Description You will be the FPGA Design Engineer for our team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Field‑Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Our team is responsible for creating innovative systems that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Be Doing As the FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing FPGA‑based systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead the developmentMobillion G of a complex FPGA‑based architecture, including specification, design, verification, and implementation

Develop trade studies to select an FPGA solution optimized for device utilization, power, and thermal requirements

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineering to develop an optimal architecture and FPGA requirements

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers

Lead the team through the Design Architecture development process

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog

Experience in hardware‑software integration and validation

Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and related toolsets such as Vivado

Experience with FPGA simulation tools and languages such as Synopsys VCS and SystemVerilog

Strong understanding of digital design principles, including timing analysis, clock domain crossing, and signal integrity

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Desired Skills

Experience with FPGA security and encryption features

Experience with version control systems, such as Git

Experience with other FPGA vendors, such as Altera or Microchip

Knowledge of software programming languages, such as C, C++, or Python

Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex digital systems

Knowledge of UVM and'instantimate experience with UVM‑based verification methodologies

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the abilitynyi to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour five‑day work week to condensed schedules that provide employees with additional time away from the office. These schedules are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
